What is Refl?

Refl lets you mirror your phone camera to a larger screen and practise while comparing yourself with reference video.

What is Mirror?

Mirror is the feature that shows your phone camera on another screen with low latency.

What is Track?

Track lets you practise while watching a reference video beside your mirror view.

Can I record myself with Track video?

No. Refl recordings include camera video only, not Track video.

Can I record Track audio?

Track audio may be captured when it plays from a TV or PC, but not reliably from the camera device itself.

Can I save loop ranges?

Yes. Loop start and end points are saved per Track.

Can I change playback speed?

Yes. Playback speed can be changed, but the available range depends on your plan.

Pro features

Pro adds Ghost, Playback Delay, longer recording, and higher storage limits.

What devices can I use with Refl?

The usual setup is a smartphone as the camera and a TV, PC, or supported TV app as the display.

Which browsers are supported?

Use the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox for the best results.

Can I use Refl on a TV?

Yes. On Android TV and Google TV, use the Refl TV app.

Screen feels small on mobile browser

Landscape mode, hiding the toolbar, and launching from Home Screen usually gives you more space.

Do both devices need to be on the same WiFi?

Not strictly, but the same WiFi usually gives easier connections and lower latency.

Can I use Refl on a corporate or school network?

Sometimes, but managed networks often restrict P2P traffic or QR-based connection flows.

Can I connect while using a VPN?

Sometimes, but VPNs often make P2P connection and latency worse.

Can I use YouTube videos as Track?

Yes. You can add a YouTube video URL as a Track.

Is there a recording time limit?

Recording time limits are Guest 0 sec, Free 30 sec, and Pro 180 sec.

Can I use Refl without login?

Yes. Guest mode works, but usage time, saving, and recording are limited.

What changes after login?

Logging in unlocks saving, recording, and other practice-focused features.

Free vs Pro

Choose Pro if you need longer recordings, more saved tracks, 0.5x playback, or Ghost mode.

Cannot connect mirror

If connection fails, first check same-WiFi setup, rescan the QR code, and update the browser.

Mirror is delayed

Latency is usually lower on the same WiFi and higher across different networks.

Video is choppy

Choppy video is usually caused by WiFi quality, device load, or a dark camera environment.

Screen is black

A black screen is usually caused by camera permissions, another app using the camera, or a locked device.

Track audio does not play

If Track audio is missing, check device volume, tab mute, and the Track volume slider first.

Cannot record

If recording will not start, check login status, permissions, and browser support first.

What payment methods are available?

Payments are processed through Stripe, and available methods vary by region.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel from account settings at any time and keep Pro until the current billing period ends.

What happens after cancellation?

After cancellation, your account and saved data remain, and only the plan falls back to Free.

Is mirror video secure?

Mirror video is protected with WebRTC encryption and is not stored on Refl's servers.

Are QR codes and room codes secure?

They are short-lived, but you should still avoid sharing them with anyone you do not trust.

Can I use Refl on public WiFi?

It may work, but it is usually not the best choice for either stability or security.

Are recordings stored on the server?

Recording data stays on your device and is not uploaded to Refl's servers.

What should I watch out for when recording on a shared device?

On a shared device, pay attention to where the file is saved and whether it remains accessible to the next user.

Sharing recordings and copyright

Before sharing, check the rights attached to any music, video, or choreography in the recording.

Data usage is lower on the same WiFi and higher on mobile data or separate networks.

Cast feature vs HDMI connection

Choose HDMI for the lowest latency, or Refl cast for a cable-free setup.

When should I choose HDMI?

If you want the lowest possible latency, HDMI is usually the better choice.

When should I choose Refl cast?

If you want a fast wireless setup without cables, Refl cast is usually the better fit.

How is Refl different from normal screen sharing?

Refl is designed for practising while watching yourself, not mainly for meetings or slide sharing.
